Graevale Review

Graevale by Lynette Noni- 5/5 stars

Thank you to Pantera Press for sending me a copy of this book to review. I was super excited when it came in the mail.

“Light or dark, only one can win. This world cannot survive in shades of grey.”

Now that Aven Dalmarta sits upon the throne of Meya, Alex must race against the clock to save the rest of Medora from the Rebel Prince’s wrath.

Haunted by an unspeakable vision of the future, Alex and her friends set out to warn the mortal races. But making allies out of ancient enemies proves difficult.

With her nights spent deep in the Library under the guidance of a mysterious new mentor, Alex is desperate to strengthen her gift and keep all those she loves safe. Because in a world where nothing is certain, she is sure of only one thing:

Aven is coming.

My Review:
Graevale is the fourth book in the Medoran Chronicles by Lynette Noni. Every time I read one of Lynette’s books it sucks me in and I’m addicted to it from start to finish. Her books are really enticing reads. If your intrigued by this series, go pick up the first book: Akarnae.
Just like all other books in this series, I loved Graevale! All the books have new elements that haven’t been explored in the pervious. In Graevale this element, in a way is politics. The main character Alex has to convince the other races of Medora to join her cause. I loved how the races weren’t easily persuaded, it gave the book a more realistic element.
The characters in this series are already so well developed, but this book takes it to a whole new level. We see new sides of Alex, Bear, Jordan, DC, Kaiden, Hunter, Niyx and more. I loved their developments and they made you feel more emotionally invested in the characters.
As said in the blurb, Alex has a new mentor. These challenges were very entertaining to read and I always found myself cracking up with laughter.
While reading this book my emotions were on overload. At one point my stomach was sore from laughter while another my head hurt from crying. I cried so much at the end of this book. Beware, if you are in public do not read the ending. You will be sobbing. Just wait till you get home. Curl up in bed with a tissue box, you’ll be needing those tissues. This quote makes me tear up everytime I read it.
“I’ll always be with you …spoiler… For as long as there are stars in the sky.”
Overall, this book was a fantastic addition to the Medoran Chronicles. If you are behind in this series make sure you go pick it up. There was a massive cliffhanger at the end of this book. It makes me need the next book so bad, but we have to wait another year. Although, that’s ok because you can read the whole series again before the final instalment is released!
In the meantime Lynette has two more books coming out this year, a novella relating to the Medoran Chronicles called We Three Heroes with stories from Bear, Jordan and DC’s perspective. As well as a new novel called Whisper, which she is publishing internationally. I am so excited for these!
I highly recommend this series to everyone. Especially if you loved the Harry Potter, X-Men or Narnia. You can purchase this book or the first book in the series: Akarnae, from Book Depository, Booktopia, Pantera Press, Amazon or even your local bookshop (if you live in Australia). Thank you for taking the time to read my review, please give it a like if you enjoyed it.
